![]() As the most requested (and searched for by myself) type of reviews are often food related, I have another exciting one for you. This one is by Vivera Foods and they mimic and replace all the meat cravings I have been missing. Here are the three variation of products that I tried and the outcome. I would make a recipe and show you pictures of my own creations however I think there are wonderful vegan bloggers out there already so this is just to cover how well I think the replacements worked and how I used them. The Shawarma Kebab This is my favourite out of all the produces that I have tried. Perhaps its because I havent had the real deal wrap in years, but with some lettuce and garlic sauce I swear this stuff tastes exactly the same! I even like it so much I use this in hearty stews and salads. Definite winner for a meat replacement! ![]() The Fish fingers Tastes of fish fingers but the texture is slightly different. However do fish fingers even taste of real fish? Works well as a replacement but as someone past the age of 14, I'm personally no longer into fish fingers. I can imagine this going down well with kids. ![]() The Steak Steak is always the trickiest when it comes to replacement. The texture, the taste and the way you can have a variation of how raw it tastes is near impossible to nail. The closest I have tried have been the B12 burger by Moving Mountains, everything else tastes of vegetables. The Vivera burger didnt taste of vegetables, in fact it resembled very much the B12 burger with a meaty taste thats a mix of lamb and beef. I wouldn't serve this as a steak replacement but use it as a patty for burgers. All in all, Vivera is serving some great options, every time I find them in a grocery shop I make sure to stock up on the kebab and try new dishes. Highly recommend this brand for not just vegans but those who are looking to eat less meat on a regular basis. Comments are closed.
