One of my favourite places for affordable sustainability is the eco edit category at ASOS.Here they show all their brands that follow guidelines to pass the mark for sustainable fashion and they recently launched a new denim series with recycled cotton made in Africa with CmiA. You can scan each items label to find more information on how they have been produced. ASOS is also aiming to have 100% sustainable cotton by 2026.
Here below is a quick review of three of the models with links to the items. Recycled Florence straight jeans in Chayne. These are my favourite when it comes to the fit. These jeans are non stretch and at first it takes a little wiggling to get into but the wait line is lose enough to let you breathe without the straight leg fit being too slouchy. The colour is light but not in a way that only suits the summer season. These were my clear favourite! 5/5 Recycled girlfriend jacket in Missouri You cant go wrong with a light washed denim jacket, especially if its made from recycled cotton. This jacket has ripped edges that become progressively more ripped the more you wear it giving it more vintage vibes. The arms are large and give space for knitted jumpers for the colder days and the denim is non stretch with a durable feel. 4/5. Recycled Florence straight jeans in Mindy Vintage. I dont know why but these come up very small in size. I couldnt get the buttons to fully close over my waistline and yet fit ok around the thighs so if I had gone a size up they might have fit too loose. Perhaps its my straight legged body shape but these were not the best for me so I didnt style this with anything for pictures because well why would you want to see unbuttoned jeans on. The colour of the wash was nice though. 2/5 Comments are closed.
