Coral is cool - kick starter project

7/14/2016

Hello everyone! Hope the summer months is treating everyone well!

I want to shed some light on this awesome project by awesome Kyra to raise awareness for the coral reefs and global warming affecting them. She contacted me in hope for support for her kickstarter which I obviously backed but I also want to encourage my own readers to give a helping hand as every little counts!

Sustainable beauty: Ena salon london review

7/5/2016

As i have been diving into the world of sustainable and eco beauty I also had to write about places where you could receive treatments professionally but keep it conscious.

I am super excited about this review as it was truly one of the most delightful experiences I have had as of yet writing for this blog. About a week ago I went to Ena Salon in London to have a treatment for my extremely damaged bleached hair to put sustainable hair treatments to the test.

The salon is within a three story Georgian building and each floor has its own purpose from hair styling to beauty treatments to colouring. The charming rustic interior and wooden detailing goes perfectly in sync with the sustainable theme of their products. Once inside I immediately felt relaxed and forgot that I was actually in the hustle and bustle of Holborn.

Then I was matched up with one of the stylists, the lovely Gianna who went through a consultation with me of what type of treatment would suit me best and came up with a combo (all products used inserted in gallery) that would take roughly an hour. Then I headed upstairs where I got the full five star treatment with coffee and cake whilst getting each treatment and some neck massage. I don’t think you guys fully understand when I say I felt that I was at a spa rather than a hair salon.

After the treatments I went back down to the styling area where Gianna not only dried and styled my hair but also walked me through her styling and gave me a lesson on how to achieve the same look at home as well as teaching me about the hair cuticles. All the staff at Ena were so friendly and attentive that I was actually sad once my two hour experience was over.

Final verdict: You have to go to this salon, even if its not for sustainability as a stand alone hair and beauty salon it gets a full five star from me. As a new costumer you can also enjoy 10£ off your first visit!
